In August 2005, construction was nearing completion on Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Biloxi, and these outdoor boards were advertising the musical entertainers who were slated to appear in the coming months. The day of the grand opening was the day Hurricane Katrina made landfall, taking down the new casino and the billboards in its fury. So while Velvet Revolver, 38 Special, Grand Funk Railroad and Alice Cooper never made it to Biloxi, the billboards with their unique design were posted along Interstate-10, setting Hard Rock apart from the competition.
The outdoor campaign was produced by Red Square Agency. My role was art director and designer.
